This year over 700 spas in North America are participating in Fall Spa Week, which runs from October 14 through October 20, 2013. During that week, all the participating spas offer certain treatments — anything from hot stone massages to luxurious spa pedicures — for the just $50. Search the website for a spa near you and book appointments now to avoid disappointment.
What I like best about this promotion is the possibility, if you happen to live near a resort spa, of turning a single treatment into a spa getaway. For example, the Arizona Biltmore Resort & Spa in Phoenix, AZ, is offering 50-minute massages, 50-minute facials and their 50-minute Desert Jewel manicure for $50 (a 20% gratuity on the regular price of the treatments is automatically added). This iconic property lists Hollywood stars (including Marilyn Monroe) among its past guests, so a treatment here offers more than just 50 minutes of pampering.
Southern California has a number of participating spas at upscale resorts, including Elements Spa at the Hilton Palm Springs, Spa Aquazul at Hilton Bayfront San Diego and The Spa at Napa Valley Marriott.
New York State houses a number of appealing resort-style spas, including The Spa at East Wind on Long Island’s North Shore, where, for $50, you can have a choice of a 50-minute facial or massage or a Pamper Me Pedicure and Paraffin Treatment.
If time is limited and you simply want a budget-priced spa treatments, there are literally hundreds of day spas listed on the Spa Week site.
