San Diego Resort Unveils New Health and Wellness Series for 2012
What: Breathe, hike and even eat your way to glowing good health with The Grand Del Mar’s new seasonal series of Wellness Retreats. Health seekers can get a jumpstart on their New Year’s resolutions and sign up now for full-day programs, which are now underway.
Each Saturday retreat will be led by Nina Curtis – a noted holistic esthetician, certified natural health professional, and health and wellness coach. Thematically designed to promote robust health, sessions include a rigorous hike through Los Peñasquitos Canyon Preserve, a wellness discussion, a nutrition class and an alfresco lunch, along with a 60-minute spa treatment. The experience culminates with a soothing sunset yoga session.
Jan. 28, 2012 – Reboot and Relax for Winter: “Sleeping Beauty – Mastering Rest,” focuses on those all-important zzzz’s.
Apr. 7, 2012 – Take a Deep Breath This Spring: “Say Ahhh – The Power of Breath,” addresses the energizing and rejuvenating impact of good breathing.
July 14, 2012 – A Cleansing Approach for Summer: “It’s Not What You Eat, It’s What You Digest and Assimilate,” discusses how your diet can help you digest and detox.
Oct. 6, 2012 – Rev Up and Reenergize for Autumn: “Rejuvenate Your Body, Restore Your Mind,” will help you de-stress and clear the mind in time for the hectic holiday season!

Get the Glow: Pampered participants will also have the chance to try The Spa’s new line up of GliSODin beauty products – a ground-breaking new skin nutrient supplement which generates a radiant, glowing complexion – as well as indulge in restorative Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD) facial or massage treatments.
Price: Full-day retreat: $400. For those wishing to incorporate Manual Lymph Drainage treatments provided by MLD-certified therapists, the cost is an extra $195.
