Bali Retreat Features Yoga and More
A yoga and meditation retreat in Bali features some of the same activities and locations that the Julia Roberts character enjoyed in the movie “Eat, Pray, Love.”
The Bali Bliss Retreat will be led by yoga instructor Michele Labelle, and most days of the program will start with yoga and meditation sessions before breakfast.
But because Bali is renowned for its exquisite beaches, romantic scenery, ancient temples and welcoming hospitality, this itinerary includes much more than yoga classes. Here are some highlights: Visit a 1,000-year-old Hindu temple famous for the curative properties of its holy water, bicycle along lush rice paddy fields, shop for Balinese arts and crafts in the Ubud market, enjoy local dance and music performances, be massaged by a 30-meter sacred waterfall, soak in a hot spring, see volcanoes and snorkel around a colorful coral reef.
Optional activities include a luxurious spa treatment, a visit to a green sea turtle sanctuary and a dolphin boat ride.
The tour leader, Michele Labelle, is a Certified Hatha Yoga Teacher who has been involved in meditation and energy work since 1996.
The ten-day tour, scheduled for November 2-11, 2013 is organized by Sacred Earth Journeys. “Bali is a magical place to do yoga and meditation,” said Helen Tomei, President of the Vancouver-based tour company. “The exercises and ceremonies in this program can bring presence, peace and flexibility to the mind, body and spirit. So if you are feeling tired, stressed or simply in search of a different holiday experience, this retreat is for you.”
