Spa Ephémère by Valmont: Blue Palace, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa celebrates 10 years with an art-inspired pop-up spa by Valmont

Global beauty and skincare brand leader Valmont brings its beauty secrets out into the open with a unique art-inspired pop-up spa concept that touches down at the Blue Palace, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa in Elounda, Crete between August 10 and 24, 2013.

The luxury Swiss beauty brand, whose exceptional products and signature treatments were introduced to Blue Palace’s world-class Elounda Spa & Thalassotherapy this summer, has developed the Valmont Spa Ephémère, or pop-up spa.

After making its Greek debut on the isle of Hydra in the presence of Valmont founder Didier Guillon – “The Magician of Time”, the pop-up spa concept heads to Blue Palace in August within the context of the resort’s 10th anniversary celebrations. Guillon is known for his deep fondness of Greece and its inhabitants, their culture and traditions.

Guests are invited to visit the Valmont pop-up spa, where dedicated therapists will conduct an in-depth skin diagnosis utilizing Valmont’s signature Electronic Eye followed by an express 30-minute personalized Vitality of the Glaciers facial, both of which are complimentary. The Electronic Eye is a revolutionary tool measuring the five fundamentals factors linked with cutaneous aging including hydration, sebum, radiance, wrinkles and elasticity and scientifically determines the proper products and treatment.

Following the diagnosis, the age-defensive Vitality of the Glaciers treatment is designed to stimulate the skin’s cell renewal through the use of HP, DNA, RNA and glacial spring water, and promote lymphatic drainage through a sequence of massages and alternating butterfly movements, a signature Valmont technique.

Valmont found the perfect cultural partner in Catalan artist Isao Artigas, whose video art installation Butterflies – inspired by the fluttering movement used in the distinctive facial treatment – serves as a calming visual backdrop to the spa.

For more than 25 years, the Valmont Group has assisted women and men to master the visible signs of ageing. Heir to traditional Swiss medicine, the company draws from the unspoiled natural resources of Switzerland and the latest cellular cosmetic research findings to formulate the utmost in anti-ageing skin care products that offer visible, long-lasting efficacy. The group has surrounded itself with the best experts to create extraordinary product ranges, all subtly combining refinement and anti-age efficacy to enhance the beauty of women and men.

Blue Palace guests are invited to sample the ultimate in pampering and relaxation and enhance their natural glow at the Valmont pop-up spa, that will operate August 10 to 24 from 10am to noon and 6pm to 8pm daily.

This summer, Blue Palace Resort and Spa, a member of the Luxury Collection of Starwood Hotels and Resorts, is proudly celebrating its first 10 years of operation. The resort has attracted several international awards and garnered recognition for its design and services and is a place where authenticity is uniquely rejoiced. Nestled on the famed coast of Elounda on the island of Crete, it is the perfect hideaway to combine authentic island luxury, fine cuisine, a host of cultural interests and breathtaking natural beauty that’s soothing for the senses.

The island of Crete is a place for discovery and exploration. Its rich culture offers a vast selection of hidden treasures and the Blue Palace team is passionate about helping you uncover them! Take a tour around local wineries and experience first-hand how rich olive oil is produced, originating from the deep Cretan soil.
