Club W Brings Online Connections to Wine Lovers

Club Wis offering wine lovers value and the ability to explore wines geared to their tastes for only $13 a bottle. If you don’t want to choose your own vintages, Club W has picked experts to curate the wines each month for the site and sommeliers pair an individual’s selections based on personal preferences.
The process starts with an online palate test that includes questions about how people prefer their coffee and whether they find truffles intoxicating or toxic. The results help curators match members’ tastes to the Club’s cellar. And by connecting the consumers directly to the winemaker, Club W saves wine lovers up to 30%.
Selections start at $39 for three bottles, including shipping, and you can access videos on-site about each wine from a QR code right on the bottle, so you can review the details about your favorite whenever you want to.
“Nobody else is doing this,” says co-founder Mark Lynn. “This is how people will buy wine going forward and wonder why they hadn’t been doing it this way all along.”
Commitments are optional. Consumers can go online and cancel or suspend deliveries at any time. Each month members specify how many bottles of red or white wine they want and whether they want to go ahead with the curators’ selections or create their own experiences. Additional bottles can be added for a flat $13, including reorders of wines a member may already have received, and shipping remains free.
