From Crabtree & Evelyn: Christmas Gifts for Everyone – Stocking Stuffers, Too
For me, Crabtree & Evelyn products keep giving all year long. I stash their lip butters all over my apartment: on my bedside table, on my desk, in the kitchen, and of course, in my handbag.
These butters glide on like silk, are never greasy and help to keep my lips moisturized as I toil at my computer all day long, subjected to the drying effect of central heat indoors and, when I go outdoors, to winter’s chill. (As you probably know shea butter, which comes from the nuts of Karite nut trees that grow in Africa, has been used for centuries to heal damaged skin and also for its moisturizing and anti-aging properties.) My current favorite “flavor” is the Pomegranate & Grapeseed, but I also like the Vanilla Brûlée. At $9 each, these make good (and especially welcome during this time of year) stocking stuffers and a couple of my family members will find them among their goodies on Christmas morning.
In the kitchen, I also keep a tube of the ultra-moisturizing hand therapy cream from the India Hicks Spider Lily collection. This cream really is “therapy” – it smooths out roughness and soothes irritations.
On my bathroom vanity stands a pump bottle of the company’s skin-quenching lotion, this in Pomegranate Argan & Grapeseed Oil. Argan oil, which comes from Morocco’s argan trees, has also been known for centuries for its healing and moisturizing properties. The oil can be used in the kitchen, to dress a salad, or in various beauty products (it has been described as “liquid gold”). Grapeseed oil, too, is a product that offers benefits while used in food or as a kind product. I love the idea of Nature’s beauty solutions being a part of the products I use.
Though I’m currently partial to the company’s Pomegranate line, I’ve also tried and enjoyed a number of the Lavender products – the Bath & Shower Gel and the Body Lotion. For Anglophiles, there is the Rose line, beloved by generations of English ladies, including a number of Royals. And to round out the floral fragrances, there are the Lily and Iris products.
That their skincare products incorporate these natural components is but one of the reasons I’m attracted to Crabtree & Evelyn.
That I can find a holiday gift at almost any price is another reason. For example, a trio of travel-size products, appealingly packaged in a signature floral design, is just $12. Sets of four, packaged in cotton and mesh travel bags are $20. For bigger budgets, there are products packaged in gorgeous hatboxes and vanity cases, from about $78 to $95. And if you want to go beyond skin care products, there are gorgeous candles, gourmet food items and more.
Best of all, right now on the Crabtree & Evelyn website, there are reduced prices on dozens of gift-able items – like stocking stuffers at 3 for $12 — at Crabtree & Evelyn.
