Creating a Scent-sation: elizabethW by Jean-Marie Pierce --

The San Francisco Bay area boasts wild West history, chic coffee houses, fabulous seafood and some of the most beautiful scenery in North America. Now the city offers a skincare line designed to appeal to scent in a way both traditional in its natural simplicity and modern in its elegance of presentation.
The first product I tried was elizabethW's Bath Pouch in Sweet Tea ($12), which comes in eight of elizabethW's ten fragrance options. (It is not available in Neroli Chamomile or Citrus Vervain). The product is recommended for use in the bath or shower. In the bath, the pouch can be dropped into steaming water to allow the sea salt crystals to dissolve to nourish your skin. I opted to use the product in the shower to exfoliate my dry summer skin.

The pouch is a white terry cloth container filled with perfumed crystals and is about the size of a sunglass case. The packaging is classic (in a good way) and features a light chartreuse box, outlined in a black border with the elizabethW monogram.
The instant I removed the pouch from its protective plastic, I was enveloped in the delicate, almost floral scent of the sweet tea extract. I heated the pouch under hot water first to release the delicate aroma before I began scrubbing my skin. Afterward, my skin was left softened and lightly scented, without being overly oily or overwhelmed by perfume.
Next, I tried elizabethW's Body Cream in Neroli Chamomile ($28), which is available in all ten fragrance options. The body cream comes in a 5-ounce jar and includes skin-nourishing ingredients like Vitamin E, Shea butter , almond oil and aloe.
The light-as-air, silky consistency of the cream offered a quick and easy application. My skin absorbed the moisture from the cream almost instantaneously, and left behind the fresh, clean scent of herbal and floral notes. The best part was that the light aroma stayed with me throughout the day.
elizabethW of San Francisco offers a wide array of fragrant products for bath and home, including lotions, soaps, bath gels and salts, candles, room sprays and aroma bags with prices that make you wonder how they stay in business. The line features ten different signature fragrances; Neroli Chamomile, Citrus Vervain, Lavender, Leaves, Lilac, Magnolia, Rose, Sweet Tea, Tuberose and Vetiver.
