Secrets Resorts & Spas Named Best Hotel Chain in Mexico
AMResorts’ brand adds Travel Weekly Reader’s Choice Honor and Condé Nast Traveler’s Gold List Ranking for Secrets Maroma Beach to Award-filled 2010
Secrets® Resorts & Spas, the award-winning resort brand offering Unlimited-Luxury® vacations for adults-only, was recognized with a 2010 Reader’s Choice Award in the Best Hotel Chain in Mexico category.
This honor, awarded by the readers of Travel Weekly, one of the industry’s leading travel magazines, underscores the strength of performance and delivery of guest services offered by the Secrets Resorts & Spas brand.
More than 50 companies, individuals and destinations were celebrated at a ceremony hosted at The Plaza Hotel in New York City. Honorees were recognized in 59 categories that spanned the airline, car, hospitality, rail, GDS, tour, cruise, destination and theme park sectors. The awards were presented to suppliers considered to have excelled in product and service during the past year.
This is the 18th award for the Secrets Resorts & Spas brand in 2010, which also celebrated other milestones including property openings and entry into two new travel destinations: Cap Cana, Dominican Republic and Montego Bay, Jamaica.
Earlier this month, the brand’s marquee property in Mexico, Secrets Maroma Beach Riviera Cancun, also was included in Condé Nast Traveler’s Gold List 2011, the ultimate guide to the world’s finest hotels and resorts. Gold List properties are selected by more than 32,000 of Condé Nast Traveler’s readers.
Secrets Resorts & Spas currently has three resorts in Mexico’s Riviera Maya region, one in Cap Cana, Dominican Republic, two in Montego Bay, Jamaica, and is slated to open an additional property in Huatulco, Mexico by the end of 2011. The brand’s expansion will continue throughout Mexico and the Caribbean including additional resort openings in Cap Cana and Puerto Vallarta in 2012.
