Guests can enjoy NEW treatments and also take advantage of a Body-Mind Week program March 4-9, 2012

Here’s a fantasy for a winter day. Imagine you’re in Switzerland. At the uber-chic Gstad Palace in uber-chic Gstad.

Well, if you can afford it, the resort’s  Palace Spa is tapping into healing fashioned high in the Swiss Alps with the introduction of 100% organic skincare from Jardin des Monts.

The new products provide locally sourced therapeutic relief from the ravages of brilliant sun and dry air at high mountain altitudes for guests of the refined hotel in the most charming chalet village in the Bernese Oberland.

Set in a Swiss chalet not far from Gstaad Palace, Jardin des Monts tends its own Alpine garden, first planted back in 1845. Reachable only by foot, the garden blooms with more than 30 herbs and plants such as lemon thyme, Moroccan mint, lemon balm, echinacea, bergamot, lavender and edelweiss – to name a few.

All Jardin des Monts ingredients are plucked and processed by hand according to traditional methods and prepared into skincare without preservatives.

The new organic spa treatments created exclusively by Jardins des Monts for the Gstaad Palace Spa, include:

Energetic Jardins des Monts Mountain Feeling Massage – A therapeutic massage with use of natural beech tree wood to intensify and energize muscles. Relax to music inspired by nature and choose a special Jardin des Monts herbal tea, or syrup on ice. 75 minutes, CHF 260 (approximately $285 USD).

Relaxing Jardins des Monts Mountain Feeling Massage – Feel as though you are on top of a mountain with this blissful massage treatment featuring warm eye pads which contain regional flowers that bloom during the massage, providing an aromatic experience. Relax to music inspired by nature and choose a special Jardin des Monts herbal tea, or syrup on ice. 75 minutes, CHF 260 (approximately $285 USD).

The Palace Spa is a destination for an authentic Swiss spa experience. The spa features eight treatment rooms, a private spa suite, and relaxation areas in a striking setting highlighted by beautiful mountain views and a 60-meter stonewall created from more than 50 tons of Blausee granite. Indoors are saunas, steam baths and a pool.

There is also a heated pool and Jacuzzi outdoors. The Palace Spa’s signature Hammam experience is unique and they also offer seasonal programs and offerings.
