Crabtree & Evelyn has caused a stir with their new line, launching in September, based on the scent of the Iris. The company has pioneered botanical formulations for 35 years, reflecting the philosophy of the 17th century Renaissance English conservationist, John Evelyn, whose motto was: “Explore everything, keep the best.”
What most appealed to me was its exfoliating properties—I wash my hands countless times a day and was tired of the rough, cracked skin on my knuckles and wrists.
"They are the art that touches us intimately, teaching us to appreciate beauty by using it, and letting it go," he counsels.
Nothing entices me more than a warm tub of water and a selection of bath goodies to go into it. While time constraints make this only an occasional pleasure, I make the most of every minute of it, selecting my scents, oils and salts
Whenever I can find a product that does the job for which it was designed without hurting the environment, I grab it. When it's also produced by a cruelty-free company, I really rejoice.
