WESTIN DIPLOMAT RESORT & SPA OFFERS 2 for 1
July Specials Offered on Body Exfoliation, Facials and Body Wraps
From now until Sept. 30, spa lovers can enjoy 2 for 1 50-minute Swedish massages at The Westin Diplomat Resort & Spa for $125. In addition to this special, the spa is running discounts each month during the summer on specific treatments.
For the month of July, overnight or day guests can get back to their best self with a 50-minute Aloe Soother Body Wrap for $115 (regularly $130), a 25-minute Body Exfoliation for $55 (regularly $70), or a Hydrating Facial for $115 (regularly $135). A 20 percent service charge is added to all treatments.
Among The Westin Diplomat Resort & Spa’s many rejuvenating experiences, the spa’s Balance Ritual, a full body mud mask, features Moor Mud that is extracted from a 22,000 year-old spring in Europe. It’s the same mud that Cleopatra is said to have used. Scientific analysis shows the mud is rich in natural enzymes that exfoliate the skin. It’s also rich in minerals and nourishes the body.
“We encourage our guests not to make spa treatments a once in a while luxury,” said Allicyn Hughes spa supervisor. “Treatments should be incorporated into their health and wellness routine. For example, you could actually re-mineralize your entire body if you had a seven-day treatment with Moor Mud.” But Moor Mud is not the only spa product chosen by the elite and used at the resort.
The choice of Skin Care Specialist (make up artists) for the Academy Awards and Golden Globes, the G.M Collin skin care line is used in all facial therapies at the spa. Spanning 30,000 luxurious square feet and gently scented with the signature White Tea scent and refreshing eucalyptus, the spa features 22 treatment rooms, a spa café, fitness facility, private male and female saunas, steam rooms, and Jacuzzis, and a coed swimming pool.
Complementing the wedding services offered by the meeting facilities at The Westin Diplomat Resort & Spa, several spa treatments are designed specifically for the bride to be. Using Jane Iredale cosmetics, the make-up artists at the spa’s salon, Aura, will apply make-up for photography and offer a pre-trial make up session as well as a make-up lesson. Established 17 years ago, Jane Iredale mineral-based cosmetics, are so gentle and nourishing for the skin, they can be used “minutes after surgery,” according to Hughes.
New mother and mothers to be will appreciate the “Renew Your Body” therapies featuring oils and crèmes of Damask Rose, which help elasticize the skin, alleviating stretch marks. Described by Hughes as hypnotizing, the Vichi Shower consists of a full body exfoliation with a rinse by six shower heads raining from above while the guest relaxes on the massage table. The spa is open to guests of The Westin Diplomat Resort & Spa. Local residents will appreciate the special day rates available for use of the facilities.
A daily pass from Monday through Thursday is $45 while a pass on Friday, Saturday and Sunday is $65. The spa is open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Guests must be at least 16 years old. For more information, call 954-883-4900 or visit the website.
